The Arizona Cardinals stopped the San Francisco 49ers on 4th-and-1 with four seconds left in the first half. Then, the goal-line stand was nullified. Rookie head coach Kliff Kingsbury called a time out before his team made the stop. In turn, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan got a second-chance, which he took advantage of.

After calling a rush for Jeff Wilson — the 49ers' goal-line ace — Shanahan dialed up a pass out of a heavy set to wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders. Light work for the coach and quarterback Jimmy Garoppollo, who has three touchdowns at half time.

Emmanuel Sanders continues to look like an excellent addition for the 49ers — who traded a third- and fourth-round selection to acquire him from the Denver Broncos. In two weeks in San Francisco, the veteran has two touchdowns. He entered halftime on Thursday with five receptions, a team-leading 74 yards and a score.

The 49ers are up 21-7 at halftime.
