Although the Green Bay Packers attempted to show some signs of life in the third quarter, the San Francisco 49ers have been able to quell any attempts at a potential comeback. Running back Raheem Mostert has managed to put the nail in the coffin of a spectacular win for the 49ers.

Mostert somehow managed to squeeze through the Packers defense for a 15-yard touchdown run to extend their monster lead, via NFL Twitter:

Despite receiving the second-most touches out of the backfield behind Tevin Coleman, he has clearly bee the superior runner in Week 12. He managed to solidify that notion with this highlight play to send Green Bay packing.

The dominant victory over the Packers was just what the 49ers needed to reaffirm their status as a powerhouse in the NFC. Furthermore, they have successfully managed to stick to their blueprint of using a committee for their run-heavy approach.

Regardless, it will be interesting to see if Mostert’s carries start to fluctuate with Coleman’s to finish out the toughest three-game stretch on San Francisco’s schedule.
