San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Richie James caught a 41-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Nick Mullens late in the fourth quarter against the Green Bay Packers, capping what has otherwise been a horrendous day for their offense.

In accruing over  180 receiving yards on the night, James has been a lone bright spot for the 49ers, in a game that saw San Francisco fail to score above double digits for over three quarters.

Playing in his first game as a part of the main receiving corps, James had mostly been relegated to special teams play–returning two punts on the year–but was forced into duty in the passing attack, due to a myriad of injuries that have thus far devastated the 49ers' roster.

Having only 15 career receptions, to go along with two touchdowns, Thursday night's performance will likely provide James another opportunity to be a target in the passing game, following the 49ers' upcoming off week.
