Focus Home Interactive had a great time during E3 2021, where they unveiled the sequel to A Plague Tale Innocence. A Plague Tale Requiem will be a direct sequel, set to come out in 2022. It will launch simultaneously on PC, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and the Nintendo Switch through Cloud Service. Fans would have noticed the inclusion of the Nintendo Switch on the list, noting that the original didn't come out for that platform. Hence, Focus Home Interactive used the opportunity to surprise their fans. A Plague Tale Innocence will be finding its way on the Nintendo Switch but through its Cloud System.
The Nintendo Switch Cloud Version will be coming out on July 6, 2021. It comes out simultaneously with the game's PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions' release date. The next-gen version of the game will be 4K UHD enhanced, 60 FPS, and 3D audio support. Current owners of the game on the PS4 and Xbox One platforms will get a free upgrade for next-gen consoles.
Of course, these next-gen features are ones that Nintendo Switch owners won't get to experience. Still, getting to play A Plague Tale Innocence on the Nintendo Switch is already a big feat.
