In case you missed it, here are all the games and titles that were featured in the PlayStation State of Play on May 30, 2024.
PlayStation State of Play – May 30, 2024
We got a first look at the gameplay, universe, and characters of Concord. This is a new 5v5 first-person multiplayer hero shooter form Firewalk Studios.
“We built Concord as a love-letter to aspirational sci-fi adventure, inspired by our favorite art, anime, films, and TV series,” says game director Ryan Ellis. “Combined with our deep love of multiplayer, we’re dedicated to creating those had-to-be-there, down to the wire moments with your friends and creating a sense of adventure as you discover more about the galaxy, the characters you play as, and the worlds you visit every time you log on.”
Eager gamers can play Concord later this year on their beta, which will be shortly followed by its global launch on PlayStation 5 and PC on August 23, 2024.
God of War Ragnarok on PC
The award-winning title from Santa Monica Studio, God of War Ragnarok, will make its way to PC on September 19, 2024. This release comes with unlocked framerates, true 4k resolution, upscaling technology support (DLSS, FSR, XeSS), and super ultra-widescreen display support.
The PC launch will include all post-launch updates, including the New Game + mode and the Valhalla DLC. Gamers who pre-purchase the game on Steam and Epic Game Store will receive the Kratos Risen Snow Armor and the Atreus Risen Snow Tunic.
A PlayStation Network account is required to play the game.
Dynasty Warriors: Origin
Dynasty Warriors: Origins is the latest title in the long-running and well-loved franchise.
Origins is being developed by Omega Force, as with previous entries in the franchise. According to Dynasty Warriors: Origins producer and Head of Omega Force at Koei Tecmo Games Tomohiko Sho, the studio is ready for a fresh start and has even changed its logo.
“Since Dynasty Warriors 2 (the original Dynasty Warriors was a fighting game!), the roots of this series have always been based around the ‘sense of realism on the battlefield' and ‘the exhilaration of 1 vs. 1,000' gameplay,” said Sho. “In Dynasty Warriors: Origins, we will return to these roots to deliver this non-stop action to not only our most loyal fans of the series, but to all game fans worldwide.”

Infinity Nikki
Another entry to a long-running series, Infinity Nikki continues the Nikki series of dress-up games.
“Nikki has grown alongside her fans. And with each generation, we aim to elevate our technology and expand our scope. We constantly push ourselves to enhance our series’ quality,” says Infold Games producer and founder Runhao Yao. “In this fifth installment, Infinity Nikki, we merge dress-up gameplay with the open-world genre, allowing Nikki to explore by using the special abilities of different outfits in a warm, delightful world. This can enrich players’ gaming experience and spice up their life.”
Fans can expect a beta test on PlayStation 5 in Q3 2024.
Ballad of Antara
Ballad of Antara is a newly revealed action-RPG title and will be free to play, developed by TipsWorks Studio.
“For this new IP, we set out to create a vast world, both in geological scale and cultural variation. In the normal version of this world, common folk reside. In another version of the world, peculiar sightings and encounters await. We call this unimaginable part of the world ‘Para'. Fundamental essences of the living world are taken away and trapped inside the Para from the invasion of an ancient power, and that’s where our story begins,” says studio head Yang Yang.
Ballad of Antara launches in 2025.
Skydance's Behemoth (PS VR2)
From the developers of The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners come a new, massive, dark fantasy title.
“Everything in this game is designed relative to the Behemoths. It’s important that players are awed by the size and scale of each boss. You’re literally fighting a mountain,” says Brian Murphy, Game Director, Skydance’s Behemoth.
“Building on our work on The Walking Dead games, we have continued to push our gore-tech and dismemberment systems in a way that players should find truly satisfying,” says Peter T. Akemann, Chief Technologist, Skydance’s Behemoth, The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners.
Skydance's Behemoth launches on PS VR2 in Fall of this year.
Alien Rogue Incursion (PS VR2)
Developer Survios premiered a world's first look at the gameplay of Alien: Rogue Incursion in the May 2024 State of Play.
This is the first next-gen Alien VR game. Alien: Rogue Incursion is a single-player, action-horror game which features a fresh storyline. It was developed with Unreal Engine 5, so you know the scares are as realistic as they can be.
“As reverent fans of the franchise, we know that any Alien video game begins and ends with its deadly Xenomorphs, and those encountered within Alien: Rogue Incursion are definitely ferocious, unpredictable, and terrifying,” says Survios Chief Product Officer TQ Jefferson. “Dynamically spawning and pathing with countless unique possibilities, even we couldn’t tell you exactly where and when each Xenomorph will strike, let alone what strategies it might use or if it’ll bring some friends.”
Alien: Rogue Incursion comes to PS VR2 this Holiday 2024.
Marvel Rivals
The NetEase Games-developed 6v6 hero shooter was announced to come to PS5 in the May 2024 State of Play. The new trailer also revealed Venom and Adam Warlock as playable characters. These newly-revealed characters will be available day one.

A closed beta for PS5 users will begin in July 2024.
Where Winds Meet
Where Winds Meet is an epic Wuxia open-world action-adventure RPG set in ancient China, developed by Everstone Studios.
“We have dedicated 5 years to crafting [Where Winds Meet], so we’re really looking forward to bringing it to all you PlayStation fans. Wuxia is a genre of fiction and cinema featuring warriors from ancient China often shown using superhuman martial arts feats – think Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon or House of The Flying Daggers. Then, think of you, as a young swordsman or swordswoman, getting the chance to master these amazing Chinese martial arts, to enhance your combat prowess or, more intriguingly – to solve puzzles and traverse our vast landscape,” says Everstone Studios producer Beralt Lyu.
Until Dawn
A rebuilt and enhanced version of the horror classic Until Dawn was unveiled in the May 2024 State of Play. Apart from launching on PlayStation 5, it will also become available on PC.
Until Dawn was not only modernized for newer generation systems, new scenes were also added to the game.
Path of Exile 2
A new trailer for the next-generation free-to-play action RPG Path of Exile 2 showed more of its gameplay and announced a new feature: couch co-op.
Jonathan Rogers, game director at Grinding Gear Games, explained the couch co-op feature further. “Path of Exile has always been a game that plays great with your friends, but until now, you needed multiple devices to play it on. For Path of Exile 2 though, we really wanted to bring the experience of playing together to the couch,” says Rogers. “Players can play collaboratively on a single account, or log in with two separate Path of Exile accounts on the same console.”
Early access for Path of Exile 2 begins later this year.
Silent Hill 2 Remake
The launch date for Silent Hill 2 was revealed in the May 2024 State of Play.
“Since our first announcement in 2022, we have been met with passionate expectations from fans across the globe. In order to meet such high expectations, we have taken ample polishing time and carefully decided on when we would be able to deliver the game with confidence. This game is at its best, a remake with respect toward the original.”
Silent Hill 2 launches on October 8, 2024 on the PlayStation 5. Pre-orders now available.
Monster Hunter Wilds
A new trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds was shown in the May 2024 State of Play. It showed new features of the environment, combat, mounts, and of course, the monsters that you will be battling.
“It’s been some time since we first announced the game last December, so the team is thrilled to show off our newest trailer to everyone. It’s still a small taste of things to come, but we hope you can pick up on one of the game’s main themes: the living world,” says Capcom USA community manager Joseph Bustos.
Astro Bot
The adorable buddy Astro shines under the limelight in Astro Bot!
“Since making an appearance at the launch of PlayStation 5, Astro has introduced many players to the magic of PlayStation. We received a ton of heart-warming comments about how much fun the game was, how it utilized the DualSense wireless controller in fun ways and how it paid tribute to 25 years of PlayStation history. From the bottom of our robotic hearts, thank you very much for all your support!,” says Team Asobi studio director Nicolas Doucet. “We listened to your comments and now, Astro is back in a super-sized space adventure, his biggest to date.”
