Antonio Brown is struggling to return to the NFL, and it's unlikely that the league will welcome him back until all of his legal mishaps are taken care of. However, the wide receiver has started his way back to the league, as he came clean for all of the mishaps he's caused over the past six months.
According to ESPN, he apologized for taking the focus off of his football performance and into his legal mishaps.
“I think I owe the whole NFL an apology and my past behavior,” Antonio Brown told Anderson. “I think I could have done a lot of things better.”
The league is fully supportive of the wideout, and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell let him know that the league is concerned for him and all the psychiatric help offered to players is extended to him as well.
Article Continues BelowIn the interview, Antonio Brown didn't fully take all that blame, though, hurling some toward the media for their coverage and deflecting when some questions were asked.
Per CNN's Jill Martin:
“We don't talk about the wellness of our players publicly, but I would tell you that you can be sure that the NFL and the (NFL Players Association) have a tremendous amount of resources that are available to all players,” Goodell continued. “They're going to be made available to Antonio.”
Antonio Brown is a talented player who last played a full season for the Pittsburgh Steelers. During the 2019 campaign, he forced himself out of the then-Oakland Raiders to land a spot with the New England Patriots. He was then released after a single game due to the sexual assault allegations filed against him. Since then, there's been numerous issues off the field.
