The Los Angeles Clippers‘ decision on Wednesday morning to trade Chris Paul to the Houston Rockets has sent shockwaves throughout the league with reactions coming from all over the NBA.

This has also drawn out responses from a couple of his now former Clipper teammates in Austin Rivers and Jamal Crawford via social media.

The move has caught many off guard including several of his teammates that appear to have had the sense that he would re-sign with the team this offseason. His departure now puts the Clippers in a state of influx with an uncertain future ahead.

It also places into the forefront serious questions about the team's ability to bring back Blake Griffin, who is also set to become a free agent in a few days. There are already reports that the organization has turned their sole attention toward bringing him back.

That said, the loss of Paul will have a huge impact on Los Angeles as he helped change the entire culture around the organization during his six-year tenure. He made them a perennial playoff team that had a postseason appearance in each campaign while winning 50-plus games in the last five seasons and won their first two Pacific Division titles during that span.

It will be interesting to see what direction the Clippers head in the post-Paul Era that could see much change throughout the franchise.
