Bandai Namco rewards Let Me Solo Her for his invaluable contribution to the Elden Ring community with a loot box that contains a longsword, among other cool collectible items that were made specifically for him.

Who Is Let Me Solo Her?

Let Me Solo Her is an Elden Ring player who gained prominence for single-handedly defeating Malenia, one of Elden Ring's toughest bosses, wearing nothing but a jar helmet. He would get summoned by other players to their worlds and he will aid them in the boss fight. In most cases, Let Me Solo Her can take care of Malenia on his own, with his multiplayer buddies just sitting by to watch. The legendary Elden Ring player does this also without getting hit, dodging every attack by Malenia, and killing her with his signature dual katanas. His ability to beat one of Elden Ring's toughest bosses while wearing nothing but a helmet made him a very recognizable figure, and soon he became kind of a celebrity within the Elden Ring community, with fans even making fan arts of his character, 3D printing a figurine based on his character, and overall being treated like a god by the rest of the community.

According to Klein Tsuboi, the man behind the character of Let Me Solo Her, it took him 242 tries to beat Malenia in his world. After spending a lot of time with the boss character, he fell in love with her character design. “All her attacks are very graceful and she is unforgiving as a boss,” he says in an interview with IGN. “Her infamous waterfowl dance is considered to be the [hardest] to dodge moveset from a FromSoft boss to date, so I decided to prove to others that it was not impossible.”

He also says that the long-running tradition in Soulsborne games, the genre or series to which Elden Ring belongs, wherein the best players fight naked – needing only their ability to dodge incoming enemy attacks to survive. He wears a jar for his helmet because he thinks Iron Fist Alexander is cool and treats the jar as some sort of good luck charm. His name alone is very memorable, but it is his iconic look that truly cemented him as an icon.

On Wednesday, July 6, 2022, Let Me Solo Her shared on Twitter a package he received from Elden Ring publisher Bandai Namco – a bespoke box of goodies made specifically for him. Within the box is a group of collectible items that you won't find anywhere. The box is made of a glossy carton with an embossed finish that reads Elden Ring in gold letters. Within the box is the Tarnished's Longsword, a wooden lithograph of Malenia, a map of The Lands Between (the setting of Elden Ring), a greetings card with his character sketched on it celebrating with the words CONGRATULATIONS to celebrate his 1,000th time beating Malenia, and a green coat with a needle pin.

This truly shows how legendary the status Let Me Solo Her has achieved. He shared his gratitude in his tweet, sharing how he first encountered the Soulsborne series and how he almost quit because of Iudex Gundyr in Dark Souls 3. He then went on to thank other figures in the Soulsborne community, who he says shaped him into the man he is today. And that man solos a boss with just a pair of katanas and a jar for a helmet without getting hit even once. Truly a legend.
