Barcelona is not the same dominant force as past since Lionel Messi left the club. His departure has resulted in a lot of their supporters not exactly showing the same love for the team, especially because they're struggling to find results this term.

Defender Gerard Pique, who is one of the longest-tenured Barca players, expressed his concern with the fans not backing the side when they need it most:

Barcelona played to a 1-1 draw in Europa on Thursday and that wasn't to the liking of the Camp Nou faithful. Domestically, Xavi's men are barely in a European spot. however, the Catalans did go out and make some big moves in the January transfer window, bringing in the likes of Ferran Torres, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and Adama Traore from the Premier League.

But, the reality is, Barca is in Europa. That's essentially never happened. It's hard for their supporters to accept the fact that their club is no longer a title contender in La Liga or in the Champions League. With a relatively young core, it's going to take time for Blaugrana to really turn things around and become relevant again. The only way it's going to translate to success is if the fans are behind the club. Pique knows that.
