Sergio Aguero has been admitted to a hospital for a cardiac exam amid experiencing chest pains during Barcelona's 1-1 draw against Alaves.

Barca's first game in the post-Ronald Koeman era did not go as planned, but it could've been worse at the same time. The Blaugrana were held to a draw by Alaves at Camp Nou on Sunday. Barcelona has only won 1 game in their last five league outings—certainly, there are areas to improve on.

However, one area that is of main concern at the moment appears to be Sergio Aguero's health. The Argentinian forward was taken off at halftime as he experienced chest discomfort. Later in the day, he was transferred to a hospital so that he could undergo medical tests to determine the severity of the issue. Barcelona came out with a statement addressing this concern.

Via ESPN:

“The first team player Sergio Aguero reported chest discomfort and has been admitted to the hospital for a cardiac exam,” Barca said in a brief statement after the game.

Aguero was able to walk off the pitch during the match, but Barcelona along with football fans around the world, hope it isn't anything too serious. In other news, Xavi still hasn't made an official agreement with Barca but it is reported that the two parties are in advanced talks.
