Fans of Battlefield have been looking for the sequel to DICE's answer to Call of Duty. However, we've been kept in the dark so far about the release date of Battlefield 6. Previously, we've been given Holidays 2021 as a release date for Battlefield 6. However, it appears that it might come sooner than before.

Battlefield 6 teased for June 2021

Battlefield‘s social media account tweeted a very cryptic post, only saying:

“Words that rhyme with Soon:

June

Boom”

We don't know what this exactly means, but we're hoping that this points to at least one of two things. The best-case scenario would be if June 2021 will be the release date of Battlefield 6. However, a more likely answer would be that June 2021 will be its official announcement. What's in June? E3 2021. It's highly likely that new games and the next games in old series will reveal themselves there. Battlefield 6 may just as well be, given that rumors originally pointed at a Holiday 2021 release date.

However, until we get an official announcement regarding this, we won't know for sure what this cryptic message is all about. For all we know, a new content drops will be coming for 5 on June. Point is, we won't know yet for sure, so don't get your hopes up yet. Meanwhile, other video game journalists do think an official reveal is coming between May and June. Others believe that recent events in China caused a delay in the release of the game's announcement trailer.

Last we've heard about Battlefield 6 rumors, we learned about how a 128-player  Battle Royale game mode will be launching with the game, somewhat as a response to Call of Duty Warzone.
