Chicago Bears fans might be surprised to learn former Green Bay Packers legend and NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre wants to see current Packers signal-caller Aaron Rodgers join the Monsters of the Midway.

Well, sort of.

Favre joined Complex's “Load Management” podcast to discuss some football, and he joked Bears fans would welcome Rodgers after all the torment he and Favre have delivered to Chicago football fans throughout the years.

Bears fans would be foolish not to welcome a talent like Rodgers to the Windy City.

The two-time NFL MVP was less prolific last season as the Packers geared their offense towards a more balanced rushing attack. However, Rodgers still threw for over 4,000 yards, tossing 26 touchdown passes against just four interceptions.

Meanwhile, the Bears are preparing for a competition under center.

Bears general manager Ryan Pace originally stated incumbent starter Mitchell Trubisky would reprise the role in 2020, only to go out and acquire journeyman quarterback Nick Foles from the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Trubisky went 11-3 as the starter in 2018, but he averaged just 6.1 yards gained per pass attempt last season as the Bears offense struggled to move the ball effectively. Foles has shown flashes of brilliance, but he has often succumbed to injuries.

It remains to be seen which of the two signal-callers will win out. But Bears fans can only dream of seeing Rodgers in navy blue and orange.

Might it happen in the future? Rodgers has long stated his desire to keep playing football, but the Packers also made a play for the future by drafting Utah State quarterback Jordan Love in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Perhaps Rodgers will find his way to Chicago someday, in which case he would have the opportunity to exercise the franchise's quarterbacking demons.
