The matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 16 is likely to be one to watch out for considering Chicago had the most fearsome defense last season, and the Chiefs had the number one offense. The Bears will have their hands full with quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his pass-catching tandem of tight end Travis Kelce and wide receiver Tyreek Hill. Linebacker Khalil Mack and the rest of the Chicago defense will need to pressure Mahomes often if the Bears want any chance of stifling the Chiefs elite offense.
Chicago’s matchup with the Saints will be a similar situation for the Bears compared to facing Kansas City. However, the Saints have a much superior defense compared to the Chiefs and therefore have the more complete team. With so many high-powered offenses in the league, Chicago has a tough schedule and will be put to the test after losing defensive coordinator Vic Fangio.
In addition to all of the elite offenses the Bears face off against, their division rivals look to bounce back as the Minnesota Vikings, and Green Bay Packers both played uncharacteristically underwhelming last season. Chicago will look to match their terrifying defense with a potentially electric offense in 2019.
