Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green is one of the most consistent playmakers in the team. If you ask him how he manages to play at such a high level, he names a legendary player as his inspiration.

In a compelling interview with The Athletic's Paul Dehner Jr., he reveals that he is inspired by Larry Fitzgerald's journey in the NFL. He openly admitted that he wanted to have a career like his. He found it admirable that he stuck with Arizona Cardinals in spite of their inability to bring together a roster that will give him a Super Bowl title.

“Yeah, you always want that,” Green told The Athletic. “Nobody will ever value you more than the guys that drafted you. You want to leave a legacy. For him, he is the Arizona Cardinals legend. He can do anything he wants in the state of Arizona and people are going to stay behind him.”

Making Larry Legend as your role model is a great selection for any NFL player. He's been with the Cardinals for sixteen years, always providing quality catches and is at 16,579 career receiving yards. In fact, he's now second on the all-time career receptions list with his 1,326 catches.

Green himself is a reliable wideout, completing 8,907 catching yards and 63 TDs in his eight-year career. He reaffirmed his words recently, saying that he doesn't want to leave the Bengals for a contender even if he faces the possibility of not winning anything in his career.

His dedication to the franchise that drafted him is a rare thing in an NFL that has players such as Antonio Brown and Jalen Ramsey. Bengals Nation is surely grateful to have such a talented and dedicated wideout wearing their colors.
