The Cincinnati Bengals have made some significant changes to their personnel this offseason. Fortunately, it appears they will have a familiar face in wide receiver A.J. Green around for training camp.

Green has spent the offseason nursing a toe injury that plagued him during the 2018 NFL season. According to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, he is confident that he will be 100 percent for camp:

Bengals’ WR A.J. Green, who underwent off-season toe surgery for an injury that hampered him since Week 4 of last season, said he will be healthy and ready for training camp this summer.

This is certainly an encouraging update for the Bengals. The team has ushered in some significant changes this year and would love nothing more than for Green to be around to help with the transition. Fortunately, it is clear that he fully intends on participating in the camp.

Cincinnati suffered its fair share of injuries on offense last year. Despite their struggles, Green had been in the midst of another Pro Bowl year before suffering a toe injury that would linger for the rest of the season. As a result, he finished the 2018 campaign with 45 receptions for 687 yards and six touchdowns in eight games.

Regardless, there is still no question about Green's status as the clear-cut No.1 option in the passing game moving forward. New head coach Matt LaFleur is hoping to help the veteran bring the rest of this receiving corps up to speed. While some changes have been made, the Bengals are still hoping for a potential resurgence in 2019.
