After the Cincinnati Bengals were finally able to find a defensive coordinator in Lou Anarumo, they're now filling out the rest of their defensive staff. The team is hiring Nick Eason to be their defensive line coach, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

Eason played college ball at Clemson and was drafted by the Broncos in the fourth round back in 2003. He spent nine seasons in the league as a journeyman defensive lineman, and won Super Bowl XLIII with the Steelers.

He then got into coaching, and served as the Titans' defensive line coach from 2014-2017 after being a defensive assistant with the Browns. The Bengals hired him away from Vanderbilt, his most recent stop.

Cincinnati hired 35-year-old Zac Taylor to be their new head coach after finally moving on from Marvin Lewis, and they've had some trouble filling out his staff.

Numerous candidates for their defensive coordinator spot pulled themselves from consideration, and it took much longer than expected to finally settle on Anarumo. With Eason on board, Taylor's inaugural staff is almost complete.

That put them behind schedule for position coaches, and it's certainly not the process Taylor was hoping for in his first head coaching gig. The Bengals are entering into a rebuild, and could tear it all down and start from scratch.

There have been rumors they might move on from Andy Dalton, and they likely won't be competing for the AFC North title next year.

Eason is inheriting some talent on the defensive line, as he'll get to coach Geno Atkins, Carlos Dunlap, and Carl Dawson.
