Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has been lauded by many as of late, including Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes.

Burrow has garnered plenty of high acclaim following his 525 passing yards and four touchdown passes outing against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 16. Regardless of the receiver who Burrow aimed to connect with, the Ravens secondary simply had no answer for the one-time Heisman Trophy winner over the course of the contest.

Not only does Mahomes see plenty of potential in Burrow with his promising on-field play, but he is also much impressed with his leadership in just his second year in the league, which he touched on during a press conference ahead of the upcoming clash between the Chiefs and Bengals.

“Not only is he a great football player, I think he’s a great leader,” Mahomes said. “He has that special knack where he can lead anybody. No matter where he’s at, he can go out there with that swag, that mentality of ‘I’m going to win no matter what.’

“It takes a lot of experience and it takes a lot of just going out there and doing it for people to believe that. He has that as well as the physical talent to go out there and make a lot of stuff happen.”

Burrow’s cool, calm and collected manner when running the Bengals offense has been highly touted by not only his peers in the league but also a multitude of former players as well.

Overall, the job sure is not yet done for Burrow and the Bengals in the regular season. The Bengals could clinch the AFC North for the first time in the Joe Burrow era with a win over the Chiefs in Week 17.

Burrow heads into Week 17 with 30 passing touchdowns to go along with a 105.0 passer rating on the campaign.
