This is a cool message from Mahomes. He congratulated Burrow on a game well played, then implored his fellow signal-caller star to get the Super Bowl trophy.
Article Continues BelowBurrow seemed surprised by the advice, though maybe he shouldn't be, as Mahomes has proven to be a good sport in both wins and losses. The Bengals quarterback could very well make the Chiefs star look like a prophet for his post-AFC Championship Game message.
Burrow is playing at a high level right now and is getting it done when the Bengals need him the most. His unflappable demeanor was a huge part in beating the Chiefs, and it could be key in the Super Bowl against the Los Angeles Rams.
Since being drafted as the no. 1 overall pick in 2020, Burrow was seen as the Bengals' savior. Now, in only his third season, he's already brought the team to the title game. Mahomes had the exact same timeline, carrying the Chiefs to the Super Bowl in his third year. Safe to assume, they're almost kindred spirits.
