Stanford will host No. 3 Arizona in a Pac-12 battle! It's time to continue our college basketball odds series with an Arizona-Stanford prediction and pick.

The Arizona Wildcats started out the season on fire winning 11 straight games. Their only loss on the season came to No. 19 Tennessee on the road. Arizona had two games postponed since that loss, both important ones as it was against (at the time) No. 5 UCLA and No. 7 USC. Arizona dominated their last three games against Washington, Colorado, and Utah, and are 14-1 on the season.

Stanford is 10-5 on the year, and have a huge win against USC back on Dec. 11. They are coming off a loss to Washington and are right in the middle of the pack in the conference standings at 3-2. Arizona is at the top with a 4-0 conference record. With a win, Stanford has a chance to gain some ground on the conference and could possibly enter the top-25 rankings if they follow up with a win over Arizona State.

Why Arizona Could Cover The Spread

The Wildcats have the second-highest scoring offense in the nation behind No. 1 Gonzaga. Their 88 points per game is just shy of the Bulldogs 90 per game. Arizona will cover this spread with their offense and they have a lot of weapons to do so. It's a big spread against a tough team, but the Wildcats offense is lighting up the score board lately. They have four players who average double digits with two averaging north of 15 points per game. This team is led by guard Bennidict Mathurin and forward Azuolas Tubelis. Mathurin averages 18 points off 50% shooting on the year. Tubelis is 6-foot-11 and averages 15.9 points off of 57.4% shooting. Those two can be a threat to any defense and if they are on fire, they should be in range to cover this spread.

Why Stanford Could Cover The Spread

Stanford is no real threat to beating them, but they can easily cover this spread if they can keep up with the Wildcats' elite offense. Stanford won four in a row before losing to Washington last time out. Their win over USC shows that they can compete with the best in this conference, but we will know more after this game. The Cardinal rely on their defensive efforts to keep them in games as they only have three players averaging double figures, but none over 12 points per game. Harrison Ingram, Jaiden Delaire, and Spencer Jones led the team in scoring and they have done a pretty good job so far this year.

Stanford doesn't have a very good offensive threat, so they must be on their game if they are to cover this spread. If they can shut down Mathurin and Tubelis for Arizona, then they can stay on this game. This won't be an easy game for the Cardinal.

Final Arizona-Stanford Prediction & Pick

Arizona is the better team and should be able to cover this spread on the road. It's not going to be easy to win by double figures on the road but this one of the few teams that can do it. Pick Arizona to cover this spread and hope that they don't beat themselves out there.

Final Arizona-Stanford Prediction & Pick: Arizona -11 (-110)
