They will travel to Arkansas to take on the Razorbacks on Saturday. Arkansas is coming off a wild, high-scoring defeat to Ole Miss in which quarterback KJ Jefferson total six touchdowns. Why Auburn Could Cover the Spread
The Auburn Tigers are having a mediocre season thus far with a 4-2 record. They are coming off a loss against the 2nd ranked Georgia Bulldogs. Before this game, the Tigers defeated LSU 24-19 and Georgia State 34-24.
On the season, the Auburn offense is averaging 434.4 yards per game on 29.6 points per game. Quarterback Bo Nix is completing 57.8% of his passes for 1,196 yards and six touchdowns. The strength on the offensive side of the ball for the Tigers is their ground game. They rank in the top 20 in yards per rush (5.3) and have two running backs with over 450 rushing yards so far this season. Jarquez Hunter has 465 rush yards and three touchdowns, as Tank Bigsby has 458 rush yards and five touchdowns.

Defensively, the Tigers surrender 23 points per game and 354.2 yards per game to opponents. Arkansas is coming off a 51-point performance, so the Tigers must limit the Razorback offense this week. They held Georgia’s explosive offense to 34 points last week, so there is hope.
Why Arkansas Could Cover the Spread
The Arkansas Razorbacks have been a pleasant surprise this season. They have improved from a 3-7 record in 2020 to a 4-2 record in 2021.
The offense is averaging 460.5 yards per game on 32.3 points per game. Quarterback KJ Jefferson is flat-out balling, coming off his best game of the season. Last week, Jefferson finished with 326 passing yards and three touchdowns, as well as three more touchdowns on the ground. He went toe to toe with Heisman candidate Matt Corral in a shootout that ended in a failed two-point conversion.
The Razorbacks rush the ball 65.5% of the time, ranking in the top ten in the nation. The offense averages 6.6 yards per play as well.
