The Philadelphia 76ers have a difficult matchup with the Golden State Warriors on the slate for what should be an intriguing inter-conference battle on Wednesday night. It's time to continue our NBA odds series and make a 76ers-Warriors prediction and pick.
The Chase Center will play host to the 76ers on Wednesday, and the surging Warriors will look to continue their torrid start to the 2021-22 season. At 15-2, the Warriors own the best record in the NBA and are currently winners of four straight. Stephen Curry struggled in his last outing, scoring just 12 points on 2-of-10 shooting against the Toronto Raptors, so he'll look to get back on track Wednesday.
The 76ers continue to be plagued by injury, and they'll once again be without the likes of Joel Embiid for this one. Danny Green, Seth Curry and Tobias Harris are all questionable as they're dealing with varying ailments. As a result, it will likely be Tyrese Maxey who takes up the scoring charge for Philly, who are coming off a win over the Kings. Maxey provided 24 points in the win and will look to build on that performance against the Warriors.

Article Continues BelowWhy the 76ers Can Cover the Spread
The 76ers don't seem all too likely to come away with a victory here, but that doesn't mean they can't keep things close. A 10.5-point spread is no easy margin, and even with a slew of injuries, the 76ers team has proven it's going to go out and compete every night. Tyrese Maxey is red hot for Philly right now, and he's going to get plenty of opportunities on offense. If he can find his rhythm, there's no reason the 76ers can't keep this to single digits.
Of course, the team would receive a big boost should Harris, Curry and Green be available, but not all hope is lost if they can't go. Andre Drummond will make things difficult for Golden State in the rebounding department and the 76ers still have shooting threats in Furkan Korkmaz and Georges Niang, plus the defensively-sound Matisse Thybulle. This is a team capable of surprising anyone who underestimates them.
Why the Warriors Can Cover the Spread
All it takes on any given night for the Warriors to absolutely blow a team out of the water is for Curry to have a big night. But even that isn't necessary for a statement win. The Warriors beat the Raptors by 15 on one of Curry's worst shooting performances of the season. His two previous outings saw him drop 37 and 40 points, respectively, and the Warriors won those games by 18 and 15. So, while the spread is in the double digits, the margin of victory has been as well in three of the last four Golden State wins. In fact, the Warriors have outscored opponents by an average of 13.1 points per game this season.
Final 76ers-Warriors Prediction & Pick:
While the 76ers are a resilient bunch, the team comes in with too many question marks to justify picking them against the Warriors here. Bettors shouldn't be scared off by the spread, considering on average Golden State beats their opponents by more than 13. Take the Warriors here.
Final 76ers-Warriors Prediction & Pick: Warriors -10.5 (-110)
