Christmas Day is approaching but first, we have an exciting Western Conference matchup! It's time to continue our NBA odds series with a Spurs-Clippers prediction and pick based on Spurs Clippers odds.

The NBA as a whole is losing a ton of players to the Covid-19 list. Most teams have at least one player absent as the end of 2021 approaches. The San Antonio Spurs are one of the few teams that have their full roster. That may benefit them in this matchup against LA, as the Clippers are missing a few crucial players Monday night. It's been a miserable start to the season for San Antonio nonetheless and they are looking for a big-time win against a good Clippers squad. The Spurs are 11-18 on the year.

The Los Angeles Clippers are looking to improve on their three-game home winning streak. The Clippers won the last meeting between these two teams, with Paul George scoring 34 points in the win. LA is 16-14 on the year and should be one of the playoff teams come May. George will likely be out tonight and Marcus Morris Sr. is out on the Covid-19 list. The Clippers will need their role players to step up and earn a win against a team at full strength.

Here is how FanDuel set the Spurs-Clippers line for Monday night.

NBA Odds: Spurs-Clippers Odds

San Antonio Spurs: +4.5 (-110)

Los Angeles Clippers: -4.5 (-110)

Over: 217 (-110)

Under: 217 (-110)

Why The Spurs Could Cover The Spread

The Spurs can cover this spread because they are going to be at full strength and the Clippers are not. They will need to take advantage of that and play their best basketball. The Spurs aren't good against the West at all. They are 6-13 and can't seem to find any concistency. The Spurs are somehow 15-12 against the spread this year so that is a good sign if you are planning on betting on them. Dejounte Murray leads the team with 17.9 points per game and is shooting 44.6% from the field.

Why The Clippers Could Cover The Spread

LA is 11-12 against the West this season but will start to lose a lot more games with Paul George and Kawhi Leonard out. The Clippers are still capabale of covering this spread but it will be difficult. LA is well-coached and has a lot of depth. Without George, look for Reggie Jackson, Nicholas Batum, and Luke Kennard to step up and lead the team. LA is 13-16 against the spread this year and has lost two-straight games. Keep that in mind if you are considering betting on them.

Final Spurs-Clippers Prediction & Pick

I'm taking the Spurs to cover the spread because they will be at full strength. It's going to be tough for the Clippers to stay in it. George is currently listed as questionable but I'm sticking with the Spurs if he plays or he doesn't. If Reggie Jackson and Luke Kennard continue to play well then it will be a close game from start to finish. I just think the Spurs will be ready and are fighting for wins right now.

Final Spurs-Clippers Prediction & Pick: Spurs +4.5 (-110)
