The Orlando Magic host the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night! It's time to continue our NBA odds series with a Suns-Magic prediction and pick.
The Suns lost to the Milwaukee Bucks last game as they were without CP3 and Devin Booker. Phoenix still controls the West by a comfortable margin with a (51-13) record so losing a few games right now won't hurt them. The Magic are one of the worst teams in the NBA and have the worst record in the NBA at (16-49) alongside the Houston Rockets. Orlando did beat the Toronto Raptors two games ago but got blown out by the Memphis Grizzlies last time out. This will be a tough game for them even though Phoenix will be missing their stars tonight.

Article Continues BelowWhy The Suns Could Cover The Spread
The Suns will once again be without Devin Booker and Cam Johnson for this game. It will be up to DeAndre Ayton to lead the team like he has been the past few games. Ayton finished with a team-high 30 points in the loss top the Bucks as Cameron Payne notched 23 as well. The Starters played a majority of the game and that consisted of Ayton, Payne, Jae Crowder, Mikal Bridges, and Landry Shamet. Because that was against the Bucks and this game will be against the Magic, I don't think head coach Monty Williams will play his starters over 35 min on average again tonight. This should be an easier game as the Suns still play well offensively despite not having three elite options.
If they can not allow the Magic to get into any rhythm out there, then they should be in a position to cover this spread. The Magic couldn't do anything against the Grizzlies last game so I'm not sure how that will change going into tonight. Orlando has a solid young core that will only get better with experience. They still can't be overlooked as the stars won't be playing tonight for the Suns.
Why The Magic Could Cover The Spread
I think the Magic have a chance to cover this spread as it's still a decent size. The Suns would have to win this game by seven in order for them to cover. Orlando will be the underdogs probably the rest of the way through. Their record against the spread (29-36), however, is far better than their actual record. The Magic have a chance tonight as Ayton, and really the rest of the starters are the only real threats tonight. If they can make sure the Suns' bench struggles, and force the starters to play a ton of minutes again, they might win this game. Ayton will be the main factor for them so containing him will be the top priority for the Magic. The good news for the Magic is that they have won three of their last five games, with their latest being their worst performance.
Final Suns-Magic Prediction & Pick
I expect the Suns to find a way to win this game. But with the spread where it's at and the Magic at home, I'm taking them to cover this spread. I know that it's an unpopular opinion but this is a great time for them to take advantage and win a home game.
Final Suns-Magic Pick: Magic +6.5 (-110)
