Why Liverpool Can Win This Match
Liverpool, under Jurgen Klopp, is back to being the powerhouses of English football they once were. The Merseyside Reds are just one point behind Manchester City and they are coming into this game in the best form in England. Since the calendar turned to 2022, Liverpool is yet to lose a game in the Premier League. They won all, except two 2-2 draws, one to Chelsea on the 2nd of January and their last Premier League game versus Manchester City. Their ten games won in a row had some impressive games, like winning 6-0 versus Leeds and getting a 2-0 win over Arsenal at the Emirates, and some routinely done jobs, such as beating Burnley 1-0 away from home.

In terms of players available, Liverpool is very lucky to have all of their guys available. That has been instrumental in their bid to win the title this year, as none of their huge players had injury breaks this year. Key players, such as Virgin van Dijk and Mohamed Salah, played a ton of minutes and they should be headlining the team sheet come Tuesday when this game is scheduled. Thus, there should be no notable omissions, unless there is an unfortunate injury in their match versus Manchester City in the final of the FA Cup on Saturday.
Liverpool has something to play for, a ton of talent, and enter this match in fantastic form. They should be very motivated, not only because they are fighting for the title, but also because Liverpool and Manchester United are one of the biggest rivalries in all of England. Why Man United Could Win This Match
It has been a disappointment of a year for all Manchester United fans. While they seriously strengthened their team with Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho in the summer, it has not worked completely. It is not entirely the fault of the two newcomers, but rather a structural issue of the club. Yet, they still have a massive amount of talent and they should remain a competitive club until the end of the season. This summer will be incredibly important for the future of the club, but until the end of this year, Manchester United need to produce results so they can claim European football next year.
Their caretaker manager, Ralf Rangnick, was hit by a huge issue coming into this match. Luke Shaw has been ruled out for the season and it is a massive question of who will be playing left-back. Additionally, Manchester United could be without the services of Fred, Raphael Varane, Scott McTominay, and Edinson Cavani, all scheduled to miss their game versus Norwich City. However, they should have replacements at the ready and at least two of the mentioned four players could be there when Manchester United visits Liverpool.
With some poor results behind them and a ton to fight for, Manchester United needs this win. Not only do they need it for themselves and their fight for European football, but they also have a chance to eliminate, effectively, their biggest rivals from the title race. They should have tons of motivation coming into this game.

This one is fairly simple, although it does not seem so when considering the historical nature of this derby. Liverpool should be easily claiming this one. They have won almost all of their recent matches, while Manchester United dropped two out of their last five and only managed to beat Tottenham, due to an 81st-minute winner by Ronaldo.
