The Buffalo Bills gave up a lot of yards on Sunday. It was a large reason for the team's loss to a good New Orleans Saints team. Rather than just using the fact that they played a good team as the reason for the letdown, Bills defensive back Micah Hyde is claiming the L as a straight embarrassment.

“It is concerning,” Hyde said, via NewYorkUpstate.com. “Obviously, we didn’t come out with the energy that we’re used to playing with. Simple as that. You can call it concerning just because we’re not playing our brand of football. It’s disappointing. It’s embarrassing to go out there and put that on film.”

It was so bad on Sunday that the Bills were forced to bench Tyrod Taylor. The good news there, at least according to the team, is that it isn't a sign of a looming QB controversy. Instead, Buffalo just wanted the backup to get a few reps during a then meaningless football game.

The Bills have given up 81 points in back-to-back losses. Moreover, on Sunday against the Saints, Buffalo not only allowed a few rushing touchdowns, but also gave New Orleans 298 yards on the ground. For those bad at math, that is a lot of yards to be gained rushing the football in 2017.

Buffalo still has a decent record (5-4) on the season. It means that the team is still, somehow, in the playoff hunt. If the Bills want to play meaningful games down the road, however, they will need guys like Micah Hyde to do more than just be mad about poor play. They'll need guys like him to fix it.
