The Buffalo Bills had devastating season-ending injuries in back-to-back weeks when linebacker Matt Milano, cornerback Tre'Davious White and defensive tackle DaQuan Jones all went down with injuries. Since Milano and Jones went down in London while facing the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Bills are just 1-2.

Buffalo got a bright update when coach Sean McDermott announced Milano returned to the team. No other updates on his status were provided, per Jay Skurski of The Buffalo News.

Milano went down with a fractured leg against the Jaguars. The injury required surgery and will mean Milano has to miss the rest of the season. The loss of the All-Pro linebacker was huge for the Bills defense and clearly evident in their loss versus the Patriots on Sunday. Milano is one of the Bills' best tacklers, and the Bills struggled to take down the Patriots' ball carriers on runs and screens this past weekend. Hopefully, the return of Milano to the team's facilities will provide the Bills defense some motivation.

Prior to going down with the fractured leg, Matt Milano had 30 combined tackles, a tackle for loss, two interceptions, two pass break-ups and a forced fumble.

The Bills are going to have to figure out how to return to the dominant three-game stretch they had when they defeated the Las Vegas Raiders, Washington Commanders and the Miami Dolphins by a combined score of 123-33 without their key defensive stars. The Bills still have the fifth-best scoring defense in the NFL, but it will be hard for them to keep this pace if they continue to play the way they did versus the Patriots.
