The latest entry in the Call of Duty franchise, Black Ops Cold War, which is scheduled to be released on November 13, 2020 drew some criticism from the community due to its issues in its beta phase.

First are the game's bugs as there were moments when players can run as fast as Sonic the Hedgehog or suffer from weird death mechanics. There are also issues with the game's map design.

Second are some of the gameplay mechanics, where players that enjoy camping or love riding on vehicles will have the upper hand in most fights.

However the most disdainful of all the issues stem from the hackers that run rampant in the game. In fact there are already reports where cheats are being sold online.

Though these issues would plague the beta phase, Treyarch, the game's developer, is known for solving these issues as seen with how they handled the bombardment directed on their alpha phase.

It likewise didn't help that Activision just recently announced the game's daunting requirements. Downloading the game requires 250GB of PC space, which could be alleviated if the player focuses more on multiplayer as the required storage for that specific mode is at 50GB.

However the other important features such as the campaign and most notably the popular zombies mode might be missed as the player will be forced to juggle in deleting and downloading game modes.

With its scheduled released looming, the game's developers will have to immediately address these issues. Treyarch's Call of Duty: Black Ops games have yet to garner negative reactions from critics with their first Black Ops game serving as one of the franchise's best games.
