Letitia Wright is unsure what's coming for Black Panther in the MCU.

During an appearance on The View, Wright was asked when fans can expect to see Shuri back in the MCU. While Wright had no answer, she revealed her hopes to return.

“Let's just say…I would like to continue with Shuri. She's one of my favorite characters,” Wright said. “Such a blessing, honestly. I kid you not, I'm so grateful for her.”

She was then specifically asked about a Black Panther 3, Wright stumbled before cryptically saying, “There's a lot coming up.”

Will Black Panther 3 happen?

Luckily, Wright previously seemed confident that Black Panther 3 will happen. Speaking to Variety in January 2023, Wright said that she thinks the movie is “already in the works.” She did disclose that it could be a while before we see it, though.

“You know, we just had a terrific two years of bringing it out and everybody coming together to support it,” Wright told the outlet. “We need a little bit of a break, we need to regroup and Ryan [Coogler] needs to get back into the lab, so it's going to take a little while, but we're really excited for you guys to see that.”

She also added that she is “manifesting” the sequel happening. “I always try to do positive words and positive thinking, and I believe that good words manifest, so I'm manifesting a Black Panther 3, why not?” she said.

With Avengers 5 rumored to feature 60 MCU characters, there certainly is room for Black Panther to show up.

A sequel, Wakanda Forever, was released in 2022. The movie did not gross as much as its predecessor but was still a major hit. Wakanda Forever grossed over $859 million worldwide. It opened to $181 million domestically and went on to make a total of $453.8 million domestically.
