Portland Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum is doing his part in hyping teammate Damian Lillard's upcoming album release.

Lillard, also known as Dame D.O.L.L.A. on the hip-hop scene, is expected to drop his latest studio album in the coming days. McCollum appears to have gotten his hands on an advance copy of the unreleased album, and the 27-year-old took to Twitter to give the rest of the world a way-too-early review of Dame's third album release:

Unfortunately for the rest of us, we will need to wait until Aug. 9 before we get a chance to vibe to Lillard's latest work of art. If we are going to believe what McCollum is saying here, then we should all be in for a treat. Dame is arguably the best rapper in the NBA, and his talent behind the mic has earned him respect from the entire hip-hop community.

The same can be said of Lillard's basketball career at the moment. While the Blazers were convincingly defeated by the former defending champs, the Golden State Warriors, in a four-game sweep last season, the silver lining here is that Portland was able to reach the Western Conference Finals for the first time in nearly two decades.

Lillard also recently signed a huge four-year, $196 million supermax extension with Portland, which is a very clear indication of where his loyalty lies. It appears the four-time All-Star has put his money where his mouth is and intends to see out his entire career with the Blazers.
