Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard was disappointed after a second consecutive loss to the New Orleans Pelicans on his very own home floor, now down 0-2 in the series heading into The Big Easy.

Yet he expressed confidence in being able to flip the score on the Pelicans in the next two games.

“We won on their floor before and we feel like we're capable to do the same thing they did to us to them,” said Lillard. “But I know I have to be much, much better in order for us to do that.”

“I know I'm built to bounce back in that way. I'm frustrated with my performance, knowing that I can do better, but not down about it at all.”

Despite the word said in the post-game conference, just reading C.J. McCollum's body language as the questions came their way is enough to see just how devastating it's been to completely squander a home court advantage, now playing as the lower seed, hoping to cause the upset.

Even after getting Maurice Harkless back from injury, the Blazers backcourt simply didn't have enough against two defensive point guards in Rajon Rondo and Jrue Holiday, as the latter put on a career-best playoff performance with 33 points and nine assists.

Lillard and McCollum only combined for 39 points between them and a woeful 4-of-15 from distance, forcing their bench to do most of the heavy lifting during the loss.

Both teams will square up again on Thursday night, giving the Blazers a much-needed night off to re-assess their plan of attack.
