Portland Trail Blazers superstar Damian Lillard just dropped a major Kobe Bryant reference in his latest single ‘The Juice‘ and we're all for it. Lillard, who goes by the name Dame D.O.L.L.A. as his music alter ego, premiered the song on Thursday and both NBA and music fans alike had to tip their hat to the superstar as he paid respect to Kobe with a red-hot bar.

This also isn't the first time that Lillard paid homage to the Los Angeles Lakers icon through his music. Last year, Dame dropped a collab effort with Snoop Dogg and Derrick Milano aptly named “Kobe” which was part of the NBA 2k21 soundtrack.

Along with the release of the single, the Blazers star also premiered the official music video of the single on Thursday which features him walking through the desert as he drops some serious bars.

Aside from honoring one of the greatest basketball players of all time, Lillard also chimed on all the recent rumors that have been thrown around surrounding his name. The 31-year-old dropped a line that clearly suggests that he clearly has no time to listen to all the fake news he's been hearing (via League Alerts):

D.O.L.L.A.'s four-minute track is an absolute banger. Haters will say that Lillard should stick to playing hoops but if he keeps on coming out with crazy hits like this, Dame Time might need to seriously consider dropping his next studio album stat.
