Lillard expressed how he sees this as an ultimate privilege for him. The All-Star guard has also been selected to be the main cover athlete of the highly-anticipated game:
“To be on the cover alone is a big deal to me, but to be on the cover & also have my music be a part of the game is a huge accomplishment as well,” Lillard said, also via Ryan Ward.
Damian Lillard also added that on top of the honor, the experience has also opened him up from an auditory experience, as it allowed him to discover all sorts of new music that he had not encountered in the past:
“Personally, I’ve been introduced to new artists, songs and genres that I might hear on the radio, but I heard it first on NBA 2K,” he added.
Lillard has been making waves both on the basketball court and in the world of hip-hop. Dame D.O.L.L.A.’s newest album, “Big D.O.L.L.A.,” is set for release on August 9, and already, it has received rave reviews for the select few who have been able to get their hands on the unreleased record.
Dame is widely considered as the greatest rapper not only in the NBA today but throughout its entire history. This latest accomplishment is merely a testament to this fact.
