“Don't poke the Bear.” It's a message someone at the Amway Center should have told the Orlando Magic fan who was heckling Portland Trail Blazers star point guard Damian Lillard during the first half of Thursday's game.

The Magic fan who was heckling Lillard throughout the first half of the Blazers-Magic game made a big, big mistake. Lillard, usually a calm person, decided to talk some smack back at the fan as he was leaving the court after the first half ended, and then the All-Star proceeded to go on a second-half tear.

Damian Lillard dropped 41 points against the Magic in 36 minutes of action to lead the Blazers to a 128-114 win. Lillard had 34 points in the second half alone, which is a franchise record for most points scored in the second half by a Blazers player. Portland is now 3-1 on the young season.

The fan reached out to Damian Lillard on Twitter Friday, and the scoring guard responded in a trolling manner:

Damian Lillard now has 17 career 40-point games, tied with Hall of Famer Clyde Drexler for the most in Blazers franchise history. It's safe to say Lillard used the taunting fan as motivation to go off in the second half.

That Magic fan learned a very valuable lesson: Don't ever taunt a superstar player who already plays with a chip on his shoulder as Damian Lillard does.
