Throughout his NBA career, Damian Lillard has shown that he is one of the best point guards in the league today. Proof of this is being named an All-Star three times, and leading the Portland Trail Blazers to the playoffs the past four seasons, even reaching the Western Conference Semifinals twice during that span.

The 27-year-old Weber State product has also received a lot of high praise from his fellow players, including Dwyane Wade, who recently retweeted a quote from Lillard saying he thinks he is as good as any point guard in the NBA. The veteran shooting guard of the Miami Heat then told him to remove the word “think” and confirmed that he indeed is one of the best today.

Clearly, Wade is aware of how capable Lillard is on the basketball court. Lillard is averaging 26.1 points and 6.6 assists in 51 games played so far this season. Lillard and backcourt partner CJ McCollum make the Blazers a competitive team not even the elites of the league can take lightly.

Damian Lillard replied to Wade’s message with Emojis to let him know that he taking note of it and appreciates the good words he had to say about him.

This season, Lillard is one against at the top of his game and is leading the Blazers’ charge in the West. They are currently in seventh place with a 32-26 record and looking geared to once again compete in the postseason, Despite their low seed, his team has a lot of talented players who compliment his game well and are making them capable of pulling off an upset against some of the title favorites. Just prior to the All-Star break, Lillard and the Blazers took the Golden State Warriors down in a 123-117 win at home on Valentine's Day.

The comment made by Dwyane Wade should only inspire Lillard to play even better moving forward. The former 12-time All-Star and three-time champion definitely knows a good player when he sees one and understands that the Blazers star guard must not have any doubts that he is an elite player.
