Damian Lillard is known for his humility. The Portland Trail Blazers guard certainly doesn't lack for confidence on the court, but has nevertheless crafted a persona that positions him as one of the most down-to-earth superstars in the NBA.
Lillard walks the walk, too, frequently engaging the basketball community at large on the ground, in interviews, and via the internet. He was at it again on Tuesday at the Adidas store in Portland, making his āfirst saleā of the new colorway of the Dame 5 to one lucky patron:

Lillard's signature sneaker line is one of the league's most consistent in terms of both quality and following, especially in Portland, where his status as the Blazers' franchise player and chief endorser of Adidas, whose offices are a short drive from Moda Center, make him a local icon.
The four-time All-Star is enjoying yet another stellar season after being named first-team All-NBA a year ago. He's averaging 26.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 6.4 assists, and 1.2 steals per game while shooting a career-best 45.0 percent from the field.
Portland, picked by many before the season to be on the outside looking in at the playoffs, is instead 34-23, fourth place in the Western Conference, four games ahead of the ninth-place Sacramento Kings with 25 left to play.
