Portland Trail Blazers center Hassan Whiteside entered Thursday night's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves having made just five three-pointers in his career.

So when he knocked down a triple in the face of Timberwolves big man Gorgui Dieng, he expressed himself accordingly:

Not exactly sure what Hassan Whiteside is going for there, although the end result is a strange combination of a dab and some sort of searching motion.

The Trail Blazers will certainly take those buckets when they can get them, though they are not relying on Whiteside to be a knockdown shooter from the perimeter.

Portland are, however, relying on Whiteside to be the anchor in the frontcourt. Jusuf Nurkic has yet to return from injury, and Zach Collins is likely out for at least another two months. Meanwhile, Skal Labissiere recently went down with a left knee issue.

Nevertheless, Whiteside has done his part for the Trail Blazers. He entered Thursday's contest leading the NBA at 2.9 blocks per game while also averaging 15.8 points and 14.0 rebounds.
