NBA Draft top-two prospect Brandon Ingram is only 196 pounds and needs to get much stronger if he plans on being effective against NBA players. His early comparisons are to a young Kevin Durant, including body type, as KD had similar pre-draft measurements coming out of his one year of college.

After Ingram's recent workout with the Lakers, he spoke with the Orange County Register about what he's doing to prepare for the NBA:

“Just eat everything I can. I think at my weight, I can eat anything. I don’t have a certain diet.I know it’s going to be a long process, of course. But at the end of the day, it’s basketball. That’s what I've been doing my whole life, trying to score the ball and trying to defend.

I know everybody in the NBA develops their body each summer. I try to do the same thing. I’m trying to get stronger. know it’s coming naturally. But I’m trying to build everything I can before I get to the next level.”

Ingram also mentioned the target weight gain he has in mind:

If Ingram impresses, and he is selected number one by the Sixers, he should make an immediate impact, but they may have to make a decision with their roster if they plan on using him at anything other than small forward going forward.
