Chad Johnson knows a thing or two about good wide receivers, and he has some high praise for the Denver Broncos pass catchers. Johnson tweeted out that this is the first time he has ever seen three true number one wideouts on the roster, referencing Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy, KJ Hamler.

Jeudy was selected with the 15th overall pick in the 2020 draft. The team doubled down in the second round, selecting Hamler who was a standout with the Penn State Nittany Lions. This very well could be the case, but this is quite the comment about two wide receivers who still haven't stepped onto an NFL field.

Jeudy and Hamler haven't been able to have official practices with the team because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but Broncos quarterback Drew Lock has still been lining up practices with the wide receivers. Broncos offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur has been impressed with Lock taking it upon himself to lead the team.

“It's been awesome to work with him,” Shurmur said via the Broncos team website. “Unfortunately, it's been remote. I think he's embraced what we're planning to do on offense. There's a rumor that he's working with the players by himself. That's a rumor that I heard. Also, along with that rumor, I heard it's going well.”

If the Broncos really do have three true number one wideouts, the rest of the NFL should be put on notice. The Broncos' defense has been strong the last few years, they have just needed the offense to catch up.
