The Denver Broncos have a quick turnaround after Week 3 as they prepare to face the New York Jets on Thursday Night Football in Week 4. While the Broncos have a short week to prepare for the Jets, Phillip Lindsay has a chance to return to the offense on Thursday.

During his media session on Monday, head coach Vic Fangio spoke about Lindsay's possible availability against the Jets.

“He’s trending in the right direction,” Broncos coach Vic Fangio said Monday. “He might be able to play Thursday, but we’ll decide that as we go through the week. If he does play, he would be on a play count. He can’t get it a bunch of times, but he can get in there sparingly if he’s able to go.”

In Denver's regular-season opener versus the Tennessee Titans, Lindsay suffered a toe injury in the first half of the game. The former undrafted free agent would undergo tests, revealing that he had turf toe on his left foot.

Upon his MRI results, Lindsay was given a timetable of two-to-four weeks to return to the field. With two weeks between now and his injury, Lindsay has a chance to suit up for the Broncos in Week 4.

Though, in the event that Lindsay does manage to show enough in practice to be active on Thursday, Fangio uttered that he would have a snap limit in the offense. At the least, Lindsay is nearing a comeback for Denver, which could give them a much-needed jolt in the offense.
