The football world lost a good one in Demaryius Thomas several weeks back. Tributes have poured in as former teammates and opponents alike honored the former Denver Broncos star.
Peyton Manning has now spoken out about the loss of his former Broncos teammate. In a recent episode of Manning Cast, the Hall of Fame quarterback paid tribute to his fallen buddy with an emotional message commemorating Thomas' memory:
āI also lost a great teammate just a few weeks ago, Eli,ā Manning said in reference to the recent death of legendary coach John Madden. āDemaryius Thomas was one of my closest friends on the Denver Broncos. Fearless teammate, competitor, tough. Just a guy you want to play with and compete with. Cared about people's kids off the field, coaches' children (too). Really miss him. He was a special guy.ā

Manning spent the final four seasons of his illustrious career with the Broncos and he was teammates with Thomas the entire time. These two clearly formed a bond both on and off the field and there's no denying that Manning is devastated by the loss of his former teammate and good friend.
Demaryius Thomas passed away on December 9 after suffering a seizure in his own home in Roswell, Georgia.
