The Denver Broncos hired Vic Fangio as their new head coach and he is already laying the groundwork for how he likes things to be done. Fangio has spoken to the team about certain occurrences he doesn't want during training camp.

Fangio recently spoke to the media and said he doesn't want camp fights from his players. The newly hired head coach knows with football players practicing again, things can get heated on the field.

“We talked about it,” Fangio told reporters on Wednesday. “I don’t like it. There’s no need for it. We need to refrain from that and we’ve talked about it.”

The Broncos head coach showed his disdain for fights in training camp—along with having no music playing during the practices. Fangio knows it is going to take a group effort to turn around the Broncos in 2019.

Every offseason, we always get a few videos on social media of players fighting during training camp. Fangio isn't a fan of it and wants the players to save that energy for the regular season against their opponents.

Before arriving in Denver, Fangio was the defensive coordinator for the Chicago Bears from 2015-2018. Last season, Fangio was able to help lead the Bears to have the third-best defense in the NFL.

The Bears also led the NFL in rushing defense and had the most takeaways with 36 of them. John Elway is hoping Fangio can bring that defensive intensity to the Broncos in 2019. Elway has been trying to help them get back to their Super Bowl form from 2015.

After all, the Broncos still have a ton of talent in Von Miller, Bradley Chubb, and Chris Harris Jr on their defense. Along with those guys, Kareem Jackson and Bryce Callahan (who Fangio brought with him from Chicago) are expected to contribute as well.

In his first training camp with the Broncos, Fangio is letting it be known what he likes and doesn't like from his players—including fighting during training camp.
