Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller has long been one of the best pass rushers in the league, and Vic Fangio knows how to use elite pass rushers. This could lead to a new milestone in 2019.

Unlike some of his contemporaries — such as Houston Texans star J.J. Watt or new Indianapolis Colts linebacker Justin Houston — Miller has yet to total 20 sacks in a single season.

However, Vic Fangio thinks Miller has a great shot to do it:

“If he does all the little things that are necessary to do that, he’s definitely got a great chance to do that,” Fangio said, according to Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official team website. “But the little things are going to make the difference for him. It’s not just on the field, it’s off the field. Preparation, rest, all those things, being attentive to the details and technique. If he does that, yes, the sky is the limit.”

Von Miller has played eight seasons in the NFL, and thus far, his highest sack total in a single season is 18.5, which he achieved back in 2012.

This past season, Miller racked up 14.5 sacks. Throughout his career, has has only had one year when he did not register double-digit sacks. That came in 2013, when he played in just nine games.

The 30-year-old, who played collegiate football at Texas A&M University, was originally selected by the Broncos with the second overall pick of the 2011 NFL Draft.

Since then, Miller has gone on to make seven Pro Bowl appearances while earning three First-Team All-Pro selections. Most importantly, he helped lead a dominant Denver defense to a Super Bowl title in the 2015-16 campaign.
