Denver Broncos star outside linebacker Von Miller has put together a strong start to the 2018 season that has pushed him among the sack leaders in the league.

However, Miller has failed to register a single sack in the last two games, which he has voiced that he has to pick up his level of play, especially with some primetime games ahead, according to Ryan O'Halloran of The Denver Post.

“I’ve got to get some sacks,” Miller said. “I’ve just got to play better. I’ve still got a long way to go (this season) and I feel like I can do that. We’ve got some big-time games coming up and I need to be big in those.”

In the first two games of the year, Miller was off to a torrid pace that saw him record 4.0 sacks with 3.0 coming in the season opener against the Seattle Seahawks that helped set a strong tone to the season. However, he hasn't been able to get on the board in that regard over the last two weeks, which has been due to a lack of effort as he has gone through a pair of tough opponents against the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs.

The more difficult challenge came last Monday with the challenge of going up against promising star quarterback Patrick Mahomes. There were several instances where and his teammates got close to bring him down, but Mahomes' unique mobility came into play and made it quite difficult for defensive front to get to him throughout the night.

However, the Broncos and Miller have more intriguing matchups ahead that includes several high-powered offenses such as the Los Angeles Rams, Pittsburgh Steelers, Los Angeles Chargers, Cincinnati Bengals, and Chiefs once again. This will provide him a strong test to where he can continue to perform at an elite level against some of the best teams in the league. f
