Denver Broncos star linebacker Von Miller is happy to call Adam “Pacman” Jones his teammate. The veteran cornerback signed a one-year contract last weekend.

At 35 years old, it's unlikely that he will remain in the NFL for much longer. However, Jones will bring some much-needed ferocity and leadership to his new team's secondary.

“Having a guy like Adam is amazing. I’ve known Adam for a long time now in the league and to have him in the locker room, I’m super excited about it and it’s going to be good,” said Miller in an interview with the Associated Press.

Former Broncos standout cornerback Aqib Talib told SI.com that the team needed to “stop firing all the dogs” if they want to have more successful seasons in the near future. While Jones' days a dynamic return man are probably far behind him, Miller believes they have a new “dog” on the roster that is hungry for wins.

Miller's lucrative contract features $70 million in guaranteed cash, giving him the highest mark ever achieved by a non-quarterback. While he's rushing the passer and stuffing the run, Jones will help give their defensive backs new direction.

The Broncos will share the field with another elite defensive team when they play the Arizona Cardinals tonight. The opposition will be without their young quarterback prospect Josh Rosen, as a thumb injury will keep him out of the preseason finale. Nevertheless, the Broncos will surely look to rattle any other play caller that they put on the field.
