The Denver Broncos have big plans for this NFL offseason. John Elway and company are determined to right the ship after a disappointing season in which they missed the playoffs for a second straight year with their sights set on upgrading the quarterback position.

According to Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports, the Broncos are going all out in their pursuit of quarterback Kirk Cousins once he officially becomes a free agent. Cousins will be arguably the most sought-after players in NFL free agency this year with a number of teams interested in signing him.

Denver Broncos general manager John Elway said Wednesday that the team is going to “explore all options” when it comes to filling the team’s void at quarterback – but one option has apparently risen above all others. Kirk Cousins has become an “all-in” target for the franchise when free agency kicks off March 14, two sources familiar with the Broncos’ free agency plans told Yahoo Sports.

At this point, the Broncos and Minnesota Vikings appear to be the favorites to sign Cousins. Both teams are potential title contenders with a franchise quarterback under center and Cousins may fit the bill. Denver needs to take advantage of what could still be one of the league's best defenses while Minnesota has all the pieces on both sides of the football outside of reliable quarterback.

Case Keenum made a strong case to be a long-term starter in the NFL after an impressive 2017 campaign in Minnesota, but the Vikings appear reluctant to count on him moving forward. Teddy Bridgewater and Sam Bradford also seem to fit in that category for Minnesota with the team seemingly ready to move on and potentially go all-in on Cousins as well.

Other notable teams rumored to be interested in Cousins include the Arizona Cardinals, New York Jets, Cleveland Browns, and Buffalo Bills. All these teams are in desperate need of a franchise quarterback and may send an offer to the 29-year-old when the time comes.
