The Denver Broncos have fallen out of the playoff picture over the last couple of weeks with back-to-back losses, which have seemingly brought up questions concerning head coach Vance Joseph's job security.

There has been chatter centered on the possibility that he could be let go prior to the end of the season due to it marking the second straight campaign missing the playoff under Joseph. However, Mike Klis of 9News is reporting that the Broncos will not fire him prior to the season and allow him to finish out the year.

Although this also but solidifies that Joseph will make it through the season, it doesn't guarantee that he will have the job beyond that p0int. The team hasn't taken off under his helm as the Broncos are currently holding an 11-19 recording heading into Week 16 action. Denver may not be completely out of the playoff picture, but their chances of getting one of the wildcard spots appear to be quite thin. This all shifts the attention over the team having to assess whether he is the head coach that lead the franchise to much success beyond this year.

The writing just appears to be on the wall as there haven't been public statements that support Joseph to be the long-term other than the chatter now being he will make it through the rest of the year. This makes the chances for an upheaval once the season is over quite likely to help shifts in the right direction.

The Broncos have a talented defense in place that could help make the franchise back into a playoff-caliber team. There are plenty of moves that could be ahead to help elevate the offense back to being a game-changing unit that could see some calls made the quarterback position. Nonetheless, it looks like Joseph will at least get the chance to finish out the year.
