The Cleveland Browns defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 37-34 in dramatic fashion as Baker Mayfield threw the go-ahead touchdown to Donovan Peoples-Jones with 11 seconds left to secure the victory.

The Browns, now 5-2, are being led by the Mayfield the Browns expected him to be when they made him the No. 1 pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Mayfield threw for five touchdowns on Sunday and completed 22 passes for 297 yards, with 21 straight completions at one point.

Jeff Lloyd, the host of the daily Locked On Browns Podcast, was joined by Pete Smith as they recapped the huge Browns victory. Lloyd described the feeling for the Browns as Baker Mayfield has finally become the quarterback they wanted him to be:

Lloyd: It is so great to see. We follow these players, we cover these players, and we know what Baker goes through. It's so difficult to be the quarterback in any instance whatsoever, and then when things look good but there are still people critiquing a certain player like a quarterback. You get a day like (Sunday) where he gets into that zone that we all fell in love with in 2018 and that anyone who liked him as a draft prospect fell in love with at Oklahoma. We saw what we thought Baker Mayfield was always going to be. There have been some hiccups, there have been some bumps in the road, but today they said give me the ball and we’re going to get it done.”
