A shorthanded Cleveland Browns side suffered a frustrating 37-14 loss at the hands of the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. To make matters worse, star quarterback Baker Mayfield also reaggravated his shoulder injury in the defeat. The 26-year-old QB has now provided a first-hand update of his shoulder problem and it might be a bit worrisome for Browns fans.

Mayfield admitted that he's feeling a lot of pain on his left shoulder right now, but that he should be able to play through the injury (h/t Nate Ulrich of USA TODAY):

Mayfield is a warrior and he's going to do everything he can to play through this shoulder knock. He has been nursing a partially torn labrum in that same shoulder, and his performance on Sunday was proof that he was far from one hundred percent.

To be fair, it wasn't all about Mayfield's lackluster display. The Browns were without both of their starting tackles against the Cardinals and for the most part, it was Mayfield who suffered the most. The former first overall pick took no less than five sacks throughout the game, and it was in one of those that he reaggravated the shoulder injury.

The bad news for Mayfield and the Browns is that they return to action on Thursday in a matchup against the Denver Broncos. Mayfield won't have much time to rest and recover, but it's looking likely that he'll be able to suit up for that one.
