Former Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano is currently in the running for a few different jobs.

A new report suggests that the Cleveland Browns are interested in him for their still-vacant defensive coordinator position.

But the offer presented by incoming Browns head coach Freddie Kitchens isn't the only offer currently being presented to the experienced and well-regarded coach.

According to different reports, Chuck Pagano is currently being eyed by the Carolina Panthers for a potential interview in an as-yet-unnamed coaching position.

This same report also said that Pagano is in heavy contention for defensive coordinator positions for the Arizona Cardinals (wherein he would serve under new incoming head coach Kliff Kingsbury), and he's also in the running for a defensive coordinator position at the New York Jets (wherein he would serve under the new incoming head coach Adam Gase).

There's a chance that Pagano may be what's known as a “surprise” candidate for the Panthers. It would, no doubt, be an unusual move on their part, as Pagano has no history with the team or with Ron Rivera. (He was, however, a former assistant head coach at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.)

Prior to his former head coaching position, Chuck Pagano also served as the defensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens, back in 2011. Whatever position he ultimately takes will be his first since 2017, when the Indianapolis Colts gave him the boot. At that time, Pagano took some time off from coaching to serve as a consultant for the NFL.
