The Cleveland Browns stunningly traded for ex-Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson after it was announced that he was cleared of all criminal charges. However, there was a sense among the public that Watson still had done something wrong, a sentiment that picked up steam when a second grand jury looked into allegations on the star signal-caller. Watson was cleared a second time, then made his most lengthy public appearance on Friday since the allegations surfaced, speaking to reporters during his Browns' introduction.  Watson was asked about the allegations and issued a scathing denial, as reported by NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Watson firmly denied the allegations at his Browns introduction. The former Texans star had issued brief statements during the legal process, sometimes through his lawyer or in his own words.

However, this was the first time that Watson has directly spoken on the allegations, as noted by Rapoport. The Browns quarterback made it clear that he feels he's innocent, saying that he never “assaulted or disrespected any woman.”

The Pro Bowl quarterback and his lawyers have maintained his innocence throughout the whole process, with this statement being no different. It's hard to trust the words of one man compared to the allegations of 22 women, which is why there will remain skepticism when it comes to Watson's innocence.

That figures to continue, given the way the Browns answered questions about Watson.
